Media library

All images and files for a website live in its media library. Fields pick from it, and the website loads files straight from Headra.

Uploading

  • Go to Media, choose files and click Upload. You can select several files at once.
  • Allowed: images (JPEG, PNG, GIF, WebP, SVG), PDF, Word (.docx) and Excel (.xlsx) documents, and ZIP archives. There's a per-file size limit, and your package limits total storage.
  • Images automatically get thumbnail, medium and large versions, saved as WebP where the server supports it, so websites load the right size.
  • Photos taken sideways on a phone are turned the right way up.

Details and accessibility

Click a file to edit its name, title, caption and alt text. Alt text describes the image for screen readers and search engines, so always fill it in for images that carry meaning.

Folders

Folders keep the library tidy. They don't change a file's web address, so moving or renaming never breaks a website. Select files and use Move to file them away.

Editing images

On an image's page, Crop or Resize it. All the sizes are rebuilt. Make a copy first if you want to keep the original.

Storage

Your package sets how much storage the account can use. See Analytics for current usage. Deleting files frees space straight away.
